  • Website and Design Pricing

All of our work is priced on an individual basis with the exception of coaching sessions available to book online. There are several reasons for this, not least because not all logos, documents, and websites are created equally . There are range of factors that influence how much a website or logo might cost. For instance, how much of our time will be spent seeking and editing content (clients can reduce costs by committing to doing this themselves), whether the client has imagery or whether we need to source this for them (purchasing stock imagery for instance). In the case of some of our graphics these can take several hours to produce. No two jobs are equal. That's why we take great care to understand your needs up-front and explore how you would prefer to work - this allows us to provide written quotes (not estimates that some provide which can be significantly inflated!). We've tried to outline some examples of costs below: A one-page website with short contact form, about, and services section. That does not take payments and using standard stock imagery. Price includes hosting for one year and personalised domain name = approximately £380. An 8 page website, hosted for one year, with each page search-engine-optimised, indexed through Google and Bing searches, with a blog built into the backend and support to develop content in your organisation (4 hours) = approximately £1700. Logo design ranges according to needs and is priced at £35 per hour for non-profits and £40 for businesses. Report covers tend to cost around £35-£50.

  • Florists - Website

We met with a lovely lady who had been let down with her website. Not only had the website provider failed to deliver but they'd pounced some expensive extras and commission on her too. We met over a cuppa and discussed what she wanted from her website (not all websites need to sell stuff!). How she wanted to interact in and out of her social media, features she'd like to see, etc. Hilariously, a customer called her whilst we were meeting and asked 'Have you got a website?'. She was thrilled when we handed over stating: " It's amazing thank you so much I love it! I can't wait to show it off. You're super talented..." If you're close to Burton-upon-Trent or Swadlincote then look out for her beautiful business - www.sweetpeasflorists.com

  • Construction Website

This one-page website is simple but effective. It features: the client's own personalised domain name; clear contact details; an enquiry form. Our client recognised the need for a website but doesn't rely on it to the same extent as an e-commerce business might. For this reason, a simple and relatively cheap website was developed. www.ktcsltd.com We also engage with this client through our administrative offering, providing overflow administrative relief as required. Transparent Pricing: We host and maintain websites of this nature for around £200 per year.

  • Are you looking for a Wix Promo Code to use in the UK?

Wix promo codes are hard to come by, but we wanted to share with you some advice about how to get a discount with Wix. Wix often run 50% off plans. In the last two weeks alone they've run two of these offers over several days. That Wix website offer will come along! Our advice to you would be to develop your site on a free plan - you don't really want to pay for something that isn't live yet anyway! In the meantime wait for a Wix offer to come along. It will! This Wix offer has happened for many years. Existing Wix website owners can also benefit from the discount when their plans run out. There's several options for how to do this. You could duplicate your site (free), then purchase the discounted plan for the duplicate site and move your domain over to it. Or, you can move paid plans across sites, so you could take a discounted paid plan out on a blank dummy site then move it to your main site (don't forget to cancel the old plan!). We've used both without bother. Be patient, that discount will come! If you need help with your Wix site then please don't hesitate to contact us. We work on a transparent hourly rate, or can quote for an inclusive project amount. Email Tracey: hello@esmecreative.com for a no-obligation discussion about your needs.

  • Online Business Manager (OBM) Service

Being a business owner can be busy - the day-to-day delivery of your products and services can mean that time for audits of your brands online presence, project management, and processes and systems you may use (billing, communications etc) remain on your to-do list for longer than they need to be. Do you want to drive your business forward but are stuck in this position? That's where an OBM - Online Business Manager - can be useful. They are contracted to manage key facets of your business on your behalf, but are not an employee. They can take care of strategic and operational aspects of your business, and may specialise in some specific areas of business (marketing, HR, etc). Some to respond to COVID and ensure business continuity. - Coaching one business to 'pivot' amid COVID-19 resulting in a highly successful transition leading to increased business, and almost 5000 new social media followers. - Conducting an online audit for a new client, leading to action to secure their unclaimed social media sites, and rectify dead URLs and content that could have been more professional. We provided further advice on improving their SEO including building off-site SEO through their networks (reaching out to suppliers to put their domain name on their websites to increase backlinks for instance). - Introducing 3 businesses to Stripe, Wave and GoCardless to support them to process online payments. - Two logo designs and rebranding assignments. Including the logo for a regional COVID response unit, pro-bono. - Developing an online 'bar' graphic to help an organisation communicate it's new social breakout platform. - Supporting a primary school teacher to develop her online teaching resources to ensure they were visually appealing. - The creation of Zoom background graphics for clients. - Adding COVID business as usual/closure statements to all of our clients website at no additional charge.

  • How much?

A contact approached me a few weeks ago with a concern about their website costs with another provider. They'd been asked to renew for the forthcoming year at a cost of almost £2800 (for one year!). This included hosting their site and maintaining updates and security patches. The site is fairly basic, a front door to their organisation with a few downloads - no customer data, no commerce aspects. Our discussion followed several lines: Whether their website was an integral part of their business. This revolved around how much of their offering was delivered through their website. For my contact it was one or two downloadable documents but very little more. For other organisations this appreciably differs. We discussed the value of their website to their business and concluded that whilst it was needed it wasn't crucial. Now, since we develop websites, this might seem like a strange conclusion to reach but it really supported me to work with my contact to make a value judgement about how important it was to spend £2800 on their pretty basic website. The alternatives... I've made no secret in the past that I find Wordpress over-rated. At a time when new small and medium business (SMB) apps and technologies have replaced the way that businesses do their accounting and communicate, I don't see why there is so much snobbery about how a website is built if it is fast, secure, accessible and functional. I also don't like to use Wordpress - the backend's clunky and ugly! My greatest reservation is that website clients become heavily dependent on others to maintain their websites at a cost greater than they'd like to pay, or than it's potentially worth to their business. I'll say it again.... at a time where SMB technology means your accounting works through apps (like Wave, QuickBooks or Xero) and our communication works through apps (Zoom, Skype etc), then why isn't web maintenance easier/app like? Well, solutions are out there and have been for some time. One that's stood the test of time is Wix. I've developed sites on other builders, including Wordpress for years but around 5-6 years ago I began to predominantly use Wix. At the time, it wasn't anything special but it worked. Since then they've really upped their game and now allow developers to add their own code - and their apps aren't too shabby either, allowing bookings, subscriptions, online shops and member-only areas to be developed. Importantly for me, it allows me to develop functional and fast enough websites that I can handover to clients for them to maintain should they choose, and within their budget. I'm now a Wix partner which provides me with some discounts, a dedicated developer forum, and early announcements of new releases and I'm constantly encouraged about the direction that Wix are taking their platform. The criticisms of web-builders such as Wix are fading - the ability to code, secured https protocol, google indexing etc. An enduring criticism is that your site is always owned by Wix, but for many relying on third parties to host their site, have you truly got control anyway and do you need it? For some the answer will be yes (a complex web-store might have an issue with this - but then again the data can be exported into a .csv file!), but for many small and medium businesses this is less troublesome. To rebuild my contacts website and host for a year is likely to cost around £1600, almost half of their hosting and maintenance cost quoted for one year! What do you need from a website?
